A Conversation with Mom

Wednesday night, following my first meeting with parents from my class, I started driving home and reached for my phone. "Man I wish I could call mom right now..." I thought. Then I cried, cleared out the front passenger seat, and had a much needed conversation with "mom."

For the last six years, I have always called and confided in my mom my anxieties, fears, excitements, and other feelings about how the school year was looking already. She would pull me out of my anxiety, calm my fears, be excited with me, and laugh at what crazy people were doing at my school.

I loved talking with my mom.

I needed Wednesday's talk with her.

Thanks Mom!
