This year I made a geography journal for each student. They them sent it to another state- and then with specific instructions- then it gets passed to another state. At each stop it makes, the person sends a postcard back to the school to tell the kid and class a snipit of what they write in the journal.
It has been a huge success! Each postcard gets a conversation. Where is the state? Capital? Rivers? Borders? So much geography that kids are actually interested in!
The picture is of how many postcards we have gotten over 2 months. By May the journals get sent back and we get to learn even more!
